Honored to Have Learned from Cory Monteith

Sleep has run from me, and my heart has forgotten how to beat with the news of Glee star, Cory Monteith's death. Cory played the highly adored Finn on the Fox TV comedy.

I had the pleasure of meeting and being critiqued by Cory while filming the Glee Project. He provided affirmation for my acting and singing talents. He told me that I possessed many of the qualities that make a great actor. I was inspired and thankful that such a talent like him affirmed me. I have relived the moment of his approval for months, but it is very vivid today.

Naturally, grief made it impossible to sleep or rest.However, I found myself turning to music to cope, one of the "things I love." I provide the following free song download as comfort for all of us who mourn the loss of our beloved Cory. As a motivational figure, I offer Cory's family, and the entire Glee family, friends and fans the following song of comfort. It is always hard to find words to fit a tragic loss, and to provide comfort for the unbearable pain caused thereby. The song "Memorize Me" is my token to Cory's memory as we all remember him for who he was. Rest in peace Cory!

Memorize Me - A Song for Cory Monteith by Mario Arnauz Bonds

Lyrics

VERSE 1:

Whisper in the wind;

Tapping in the dark:

The sound of real joy;

Tapping at your heart, and that's me.

I know it hurts;

But there's hope in the sky;

Let this be your comfort;

My memory's alive.

CHORUS:

Through all of the sadness;

Frustration and madness;

Here's medicine for your day;

Whenever you're crying;

Remember this one thing;

I'm only a memory away;

So memorize me -- memorize me. Memorize me -- memorize me.

VERSE 2:

I know it hurts;

But there's hope in the sky;

Let this be your comfort;

My memory's alive.

CHORUS:

Through all of the sadness;

Frustration and madness;

Here's medicine for your day;

Whenever you're crying;

Remember this one thing;

I'm only a memory away;

So memorize me -- memorize me. Memorize me -- memorize me. Memorize me -- memorize me. Memorize me -- memorize me.
